Whether you live on the Big Island or are vacationing on our beautiful island, there are some things you’ll want to make time for. Everyone knows it’s a magnificent place to hang out on the beach, surf, soak up the sun and have fun exploring, but what else? Way more than our Big Island real estate professionals can mention, but we do have a few suggestions!
If you enjoy a round of golf, you won’t want to miss an opportunity to play on the award-winning Francis H. I’i Brown championship golf course. Breathtaking island views along with challenging 36 holes, this is a course many dreams of experiencing – and one ranked as one of the best in North America.
If you’re like us, eating is one of your favorite things to do. Brown’s Beach House is the recipient of many awards including AAA Four-Diamond and the Hale Aina Award for Top Big Island Restaurant. The menu changes with the seasons, offering up sumptuous seafood and locally sourced plants and ingredients that will have your mouth watering. With candle-lit tables, live music, and open-air seating right on the Kohala Coast, the experience is almost as amazing as the food.
Experience the island from the air by helicopter. Imagine seeing the waterfalls up-close, flying between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa and into the Waimanu and Waipio valleys, stopping off at the Kilauea crater and enjoying a small picnic at intermission. You’ll also be able to visit a spot normally only experienced after hours of hiking as Paradise Helicopters land on a scenic overlook that can only be described as breathtaking.
From learning to make leis and taking a canoe tour to experience local culture and just chilling out to the sounds and smells of the ocean, there is truly no place like Hawaii.
Many people who visit the Big Island decide to make it home. If you’re considering a move, our real estate brokers can help you find the home, condo, villa, or estate of your dreams!
