Come to Kailua Kona
Maybe you’re headed to the Big Island to check out some real estate while on vacation, or just to relax and spend some quality family time. Either way, we highly recommend you consider Kailua Kona on the island’s West side if you really want to have a great time! Our Hawaii real estate brokers want to share a little information we think you’ll find enlightening if you’re planning on visiting any time soon.
Go Fish
Whether you call it “Kailua” or “Kona” (locals call it both), this is the area you want to spend time in if you prefer sunny, dry weather. If you’re passionate about fishing, Kailua-Kona is a renowned sportfishing town where you will find spectacular white sand beaches ideal for taking a swim, snorkeling, or just soaking up the sun.
Fun in Kona
Just north of Kailua Kona you’ll find world-famous golf courses, a must for anyone who’s an avid golfer, or just enjoys swinging the clubs every now and then. The activity capital of the island, Kona is a historic seaside town boasting lots of shops, restaurants and farmers markets where you can find the best local produce. Stroll along Ali’i drive in central Kona and enjoy an awesome ocean sunset from one of the cafes, or go snorkeling at King Kam beach at sunrise.
Drive to Nearby Favorites
If you rent a car you will definitely want to take a scenic drive through coffee country! No doubt you’ve heard of Kona coffee, and you might want to visit the farm if you’re a coffee lover. A 12-mile drive in South Kona, you’ll want to stop along the way at Kealakekua Bay in the town of Captain Cook, the St. Benedict Painted church, and Pu’uhonua o Honaunau national park. A great way to relax and spend leisure time with the family!
This is just a small sampling of what you’ll find in Kona – it’s impossible to mention all of the fun and relaxing things there are to see and do. One thing is for sure, it will be an experience you’ll fondly remember for a lifetime.
